Facelifted Mercedes M-Class

As these pictures from the northern parts of Europe prove, Mercedes is now, four years after its introduction to the market, developing a slight facelift for the ever so successful M-class.
The slightly modified luxury four-wheeler, aimed at heading off growing competition from the BMW X5, Lexus RX300 and Audi A6 Allroad, will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the autumn.
The new ML picks up many of the styling cues so far reserved for the ML55 AMG version. Modifications include a more modern front bumper with integrated foglamps, bi-xenon headlights with clear lenses, clear-glass taillights and mirror-mounted side flashers. Higher-grade plastics are used on the dash, with new instrument graphics and new centre-console switchgear.
 New will be a 4-litre V8 common rail turbodiesel producing 250 HP, while the current 4.4-litre V8 fuel unit will be replaced by a more potent 5-litre engine delivering 306 HP. Later will follow a 5.5-litre V8 unit delivering an incredible 430 HP.
