BMW 5 series 2003

The new model BMW 5-series is due to be launched towards the end of 2002, with the touring the following year in 2003. The new 5 series model is described as "the ultimate driving machine for the business man".
 Hybrid construction sees the front-end constructed from Aluminium. By using aluminium BMW hopes are threefold - to reduce weight significantly, ensure a more favourable front-to-rear weight distribution, and to improve the already near perfect handling.
All petrol engines will feature Valvetronic system, while the diesel units will receive a second-generation common rail system operating at greater pressure for improved performance. Inside the 5-Series the iDrive system will be an option.
