Devaney dominates in Austria

Motorsport Ireland 'Young Racing Driver of the Year' Michael Devaney from Rathfarnham, Dublin, scored a double victory over the weekend when he won rounds 15 & 16 of the German Formula BMW Championship at the A1 Ring in Austria.
 Driving for reigning champions Team Rosberg, the 18-year-old put in a copybook performance at the 4.3Km Grand Prix circuit.
Starting both races from the front row of the grid, the Seahorse.ie supported driver won the two encounters from championship leader Maximilian Gotz of Germany and now moves up to third position in the standings.
Said Devaney :
"Race weekends don't get much better than this. Two wins from the front row of the grid, what more could I have asked for. The team gave me a really good car for qualifying and this set us up for two good races. Hopefully we can repeat this performance at Zandvoort and Hockenheim and secure a top three finish in the championship.'
Also backed by Movie Magic and Rugbytech, Michael's next outing is at Zandvoort in Holland on September 20/21 where he will be aiming to add further to his tally of three wins (Norisring and A1 Ring X 2).
