Team Alfa Romeo Ireland sign Abarth Champion

Team Alfa Romeo Ireland have signed newly crowned Fiat Punto Abarth Cup Champion Liam Denning, from Rathfarnham, for the final round of the European Alfa Challenge which takes place this weekend (18/19 Oct) at Monza in Italy.
 The experienced Irish saloon car racer joins regular team driver 19-year-old Niki Meredith in the all Irish staffed Alfa Romeo squad.
Having only received the call to drive for the outfit at the Italian Grand Prix circuit from team manager Oisin O'Briain on Monday, Denning is very much in at the deep end. He will get his first taste of the 220Bhp left-hand drive Alfa 147 on Friday when he will have two half-hour sessions to familiarise himself with both the car and the famous 5.77Km circuit ahead of Saturday qualifying.
Part of the LG Super Racing Weekend, which is headlined by the FIA GT and European Touring Car Championships, Denning will then make his European racing debut on Sunday morning when 13 laps of Monza await him.
