New Focus a star attraction at Christmas spectacular

The all-new Ford Focus makes its official public debut later this month as a star attraction at the 7UP Christmas on Ice spectacular at the RDS in Dublin.
 A Ford Feature Area will showcase the new model in both 3- and 5-door body styles starting November 18th. In addition, one lucky visitor to the event will walk away with the prize of the new car.
"As a family event, 7UP Christmas On Ice is an ideal platform on which to showcase our new model to the general public," comments Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director, Ford Ireland. "After all, Focus has enjoyed the status of Ireland's most popular family car for a number of year."
"Christmas is a time when many think of changing their cars, but can't find the time for a trip to the local dealer. So we're bringing the new Focus to them!"
A 5-door Focus LX, worth over €20,000, is the prize open to visitors to the Ford Christmas 'showroom', where they can experience the space and comfort of the new Focus first-hand.
7UP Christmas on Ice is the country's coolest Christmas experience, featuring Santa’s Polar Palace with Polar Playzone, Kids-only Ice Rink and the Bear Factory plus one of Europe’s largest Ice skating rinks at 1,300 sq m. Add to this the enchanted forest and the wonderful Christmas Market and you have just a flavour of the spectacular 7UP Christmas on Ice at the RDS. The event, which runs from November 18th to January 9th, is expected to attract 250,000 visitors.
